How To Survive as a C-Class Guide Chapter 2

"Why? Isn't it okay?”

Esper asked as if he had expected. Even if I'm a C-class, I'm definitely a 5-year guide, but getting treated like this hurt my pride.

I couldn't even take the first step at the stage, which is the foundation of the basics. And the tone that seemed to make fun of somewhere played a part in stimulating my desire to compete.

"No. It's going well.”

“It doesn’t come in at all. Is it going well?”

“…….”

The more I tried, the more I felt blocked by the iron barrel wall. As I groaned, the opponent's fingers wrapped in between them.

When I was in a state of being closed, I opened my eyes in embarrassment. But after all, nothing was visible.

“Is it possible to do this?”

The gentle rubbing touch was so sorrowful that my concentration became more blurred.

“No, wait. You are guiding.”

"Yeah. I know that the larger the area originally touched, the more effective it is. Is it wrong?”

“I do, but even if I don’t do this.”

“It’s because I think it will work. Concentrate more.”

I thought it was a joke, but the man's tone was serious. He didn't know when he had been like this, and he had the right force in his hand.

I can't figure it out. Is this a joke or what?

“Try touching it harder there. From the end, I have been working hard, so slowly.”

I focused on what the man said. As if it would never open, I pushed my energy into the closed curtain with the strongest force I could.

“Ugh.”

Blech.

What?

Suddenly, my energy was absorbed by a man as if in an instant. The man also felt a little groan.

I felt like I had exhausted my energy at once and became an empty can. Instead, as my energy flowed in, the man's energy passed as well.

However, it felt much heavier than the other Esper's energy that I had been carrying so far, so I was choking. As I was breathing a little steeper, I felt that the man's body temperature had risen dramatically.

I shook the man, instinctively felt that something was wrong.

“Hey, are you okay?”

“…….”

The man didn't answer.

"Hey! Hey!"

Creak...

Then the capsule door opened. Light poured inside the dark interior and shone on the man in front of me.

"You've been looking for it for a long time. What are you doing here?”

Someone came in and shouted. The noise from behind felt distant.

Fortunately, the man who was being guided to me looked fine. And it was beautiful.

The skin glistened as if it were jewels, and the blue eyes that contained me were greatly dilated. The brilliant blonde was dazzling as if it had the sun in it.

The man held his hands face to face to face.

"Do you want to come with me?"

"What?"

"Come with me."

His words froze as if they were bound.

It was as if all the elements that made up a man were engrossed in me. I felt breathtakingly pressured by it.

"Are you half asleep?"

At that time, a young-looking male student approached. He shuffled his palms between us, interrupting our vision as if he were coming to his senses.

Only then could I get rid of him with a wisp of my head. I heard a male student calls him the head of the center, isn't he from the center?

Looking around, there were not only boys but also others in the capsule.

"Jay, give me the list from the center."

"Here you go."

The impression of the man who rode the elevator with me was Jay, and he was handing over documents to the sensitive man wearing glasses.

Then the man wearing glasses frowned at the list to look bad.

"There are 12 A-class guides currently affiliated with the Center, 80 B-class guides, and 80 C-class guides..."...there's nothing to see. This isn't what we've been told. You don't have any S-class?"

"Dean, don't be so strict. I wouldn't leave it as a spare anyway. Let's pick a pretty one. More than that, I think we've already decided to dress up.”

"Carlyx, if you're thinking about leaving a doghead who doesn't even know where he's been rolling from, cut it out.”

"It's too sunny. I picked the right one this time, didn't I?"

Ignoring Dean's words, the leader looked to me as if to respond. The situation was so urgent that the judgment was not made properly.

"Now…… what's going on?”

But I thought I knew one. Dean's saying, "You don't even know where you've been rolling over" is what I mean.

As if my guess was correct, Dean looked me over from head to toe and sighed.

"It's a truck you picked up and left unattended. How many days did you roll because you said you'd pick the right one this time?”

Dean disapproved and bent on reviewing the list once again.

"Then let's make it a majority vote. There's something I've said.”

"Why, I like it! Do you belong to my sister?

Suddenly, the male student popped out. I was a little surprised, but I stiffened my face and told the truth.

"I'm applying to the Central Headquarters today.”

"Oh, you're in the center! Then there's no problem. Well, even if you're on another team if you take it."

I looked small because my face was small and too young, but when I stood in front of me, I could see that he was about two inches taller than me. Close to amber eyes were imbued with a keen interest in the situation.

"I agree with Muon. What about Jay?"

"What do you mean, Jay guides Judith anyway.”

"Then I agree."

"Do as you please."

"Then I have three votes in favor, one against, and one withholding vote. Right?

The leader smiled satisfactorily at Jay's answer. Then Dean threw a fit and threw a tantrum, saying I didn't know where I was rolling.

"Are you kidding me? Does Eclipse look ridiculous? Do you know that guide rank?"

Rank? Not much to brag about, but nothing to say. I intervened in their conversation and answered.

"C."

"Ha!"

Dean snorted as if he had nothing to listen to. How high are you? I'm not that high either, but I'm not even a low rank.

The leader asked with a curious look as if it was true.

'Hmm... this is unexpected. Is it really C?'

"Yes, but now I'm starting to feel a little uncomfortable. Who are you guys?”

"What was your name again?”

"Didn't I tell you?”

"I mean introduce it now."

He was still smiling leisurely.

But strangely, this man seemed soft and coercive.

When I guided, I followed the feeling that I needed to listen to a man, but I felt that I was used to dealing with people and took it for granted to put my opponent down.

"Isn't it polite to introduce yourself first before asking the other person?"

No matter how much the leader was, there was no reason to listen to me when I was not part of this team. Despite my deliberate piquant remarks, he rather smiled broadly.

"Oh, really. I'm sorry."

"Wow, awesome. She must be crazy."

I have apologized too easily and the male student looked at me as if I had done something big. Dean took his eyes off the papers and glanced at me.

"My name is Carlyx."

"Yes, Carlyx. I'm Roen."

As soon as I heard it, a familiar name circulated in my mouth.

Carlyx... Carlyx...Where did you hear that?

Carlyx felt as awkward as the first time he uttered his name. I couldn't get a clue whether it was sneaky or shy.

But it was just the outside, and it must have been because of that handsome look that he looked good.

"SS-class Esper."

"What?"

"This is Eclipse.”

"Yes?"

SS grade Esper Carlyx. I've heard of it. If it's Eclipse. It was a team that could not be unknown to the guidelines.

It was the only private mercenary group with an SS-class guide consisting of all S-class or higher Esper and only one in Korea.

"I'd like to have Loen on our team, how about that?"

But whatever the fame was, it had nothing to do with me.

"I don't want to."

* * *

Esper's relationship with the guide is simple. Without a guide, Esper ran out of vitality and was flooded, and its destructive power was no match for the A-class gate.

In the end, Esper ignited and disappeared with only powder left. That's why the guide was indispensable to Esper.

The center used this relationship to form an army of awakeners.

Esper is subordinated to the center by connecting guides with their upper personalities so that they can be regularly guided and protecting guides with relatively weak strength.

But Eclipse, this group was different. Their SS-class guides were able to take care of four Esper, so the center could not influence them.

They were also known for their ability to destroy the upper gate with only one Esper, and for their rough fighting methods that devastated the area every time they went into battle.

There have been rumors that not only physical damage but also friendly espers sometimes attack relentlessly.

That's why I heard that all espers inside the center are reluctant to participate in the gate where Eclipse participates.

Whatever the rumor, it was clear that it was the best group in terms of ability.

Nevertheless, I refused without a bit of trouble because it was so obvious what their purpose was.

Eclipse has SS-class guides, so there is no shortage of guidance. And I've been working at the center for five years as a C-class guide.

Guiding, which can spread to sexual problems, is conducted under strict discipline at the center.

While this may earn a perky like me a lot of money flows to the outside organization I'm sure rank the guide, whose last name is enslaved I was growing up.

I've heard a terrible rumor before. There were hundreds of rumors of pickers, such as writing a guide once and throwing it away, there is a basement floor that locks in a low-class guide, and if you join the team in less than a day, you lose contact.

It was suicide for me to go to the team.
